Located on the distinct Southern Shore of Nova Scotia, our focus is in custom residential design with a principle of producing exceptional architectural drawings and design concepts at a high level of detail. Distinct quality and experience in our craft allows us to provide the very best for our clients.

Maritime Home Design Studio was founded by Principle Architectural Designer Ali Druzina. Her passion and experience for residential design stemmed from a childhood surrounded by renovations and frequent visits to the historical town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. After graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology (Honours) and establishing careers as a Building Inspector, Plans Examiner, and Architectural Designer for a small start-up, she combines her hands-on and in field knowledge of building and construction sciences with energy efficiency, National and Provincial Building Codes, local municipal planning, and love for character-driven homes. She has taught multiple semesters for first year Architectural and Engineering Technology college students, sharing her joy for the construction and architecture industry and leads a successful residential energy efficiency program for Atlantic Canada’s largest environmental non-for profit. She spends her spare time restoring her 103 year old farmhouse on the iconic Lahave River with her husband when not found scoring antiques or refinishing vintage pieces.
